It started with irritated skin and a label I couldn't ignore.

Like most people, I never thought twice about my deodorant—until I did.

After years of using conventional products, I started experiencing red, itchy, irritated underarms. What should have been a simple part of my daily routine became a constant source of discomfort. Frustrated, I turned the package over and began reading the ingredient list.

What I found sent me down a rabbit hole.

The more I learned about the ingredients commonly found in personal care products, the more I realized I wanted something simpler. Something made with ingredients I could recognize, trust, and feel good about putting on my body every day.

So I started making my own.

At first, I tried homemade recipes with baking soda and other natural ingredients. They worked—but not perfectly. White stains on dark shirts were frustrating, and over time I discovered that baking soda could be too harsh for my skin, causing the same irritation I was trying to avoid.

I knew there had to be a better way.

So I created Coastal Oak Co.

That's why our deodorant is made without baking soda and instead relies on ingredients like arrowroot powder, magnesium hydroxide, and kaolin clay—working together to help keep you fresh while being gentle on sensitive skin.
