Our Story
It started with irritated skin and a label I couldn't ignore.
Like most people, I never thought twice about my deodorant—until I did.
After years of using conventional products, I began experiencing red, itchy, irritated underarms. What should have been a simple part of my daily routine became a constant source of discomfort. Frustrated, I turned the package over and started reading the ingredient list.
The more I learned about the ingredients commonly found in personal care products, the more I realized I wanted something simpler. Something made with ingredients I could recognize, trust, and feel good about using every day.
So I started making my own.
At first, I experimented with homemade recipes using natural ingredients. Some worked better than others, but I kept running into the same problems—skin irritation, white stains, or products that simply didn't perform the way I wanted them to.
I knew there had to be a better way.
So I created Coastal Oak Co.
Our deodorant is crafted without baking soda and instead relies on ingredients like arrowroot powder, magnesium hydroxide, kaolin clay, and nourishing plant-based oils. The result is a deodorant that's effective, gentle on sensitive skin, and made with ingredients you can feel good about using.
What started as a personal search for a better product became a mission to create products others could trust too.

Hi, I'm Chad.
Coastal Oak Co. began as a personal journey to find a better deodorant for myself. I wanted something effective, simple, and made with ingredients I felt comfortable using every day.
What started as a few homemade batches quickly grew into a passion for creating products that reflect my values: simplicity, quality, and a deep appreciation for nature.
Living in Florida, I spend a lot of time outdoors, whether I'm at the beach, on the golf course, or exploring with my dog. I wanted a deodorant that could keep up with an active lifestyle while staying true to a natural approach.
